Introducing SoLOOtion Focused on World Toilet Day!

I began working on this project around 2 years ago, aiming to research and promote the use of compost toilets and waterless systems for environmental gain. This – let’s face it, slightly unusual – area of interest came about some 15 years ago and was always in the back of my mind, but through a series of events in 2019, I decided to give it more focus. I am interested in so many aspects of this, everything from design and manufacture to ‘closing the loop’ and carbon reduction, that it’s been difficult to know which direction to go in. With a general aim to find varied and appropriate solutions to the many challenges faced, the name was born.

In my quest to gather information, I realised this wasn’t always easily attainable, so the idea of creating a website came about, which, with a lot of help from Rob F, is now live! It’s early days and there’s a lot of work to do, but it’s a starting point to build from. You can check out the website – and Instagram page @solootionfocused and if you’d like to know more, be included or have any ideas, please do get in touch!
