The Household Waste Recycling Centre for Falmouth, Penryn and the surrounding area is now due to open sometime in December.
Located at Carveth Farm on the A394 between Penryn and Longdowns, the Centre will accept over 20 types of waste material for recycling, including asbestos,fluorescent tubes, gas bottles and tyres – more details nearer opening time.
Meanwhile, the HWRC at United Mines nr. Carharrack is still very much open for business, having just received planning permission for its recycling activities for the next four years. The landfill site has now closed with household and commercial residual waste going to Connon Bridge, Liskeard for disposal.
