This Food Market caters for families and individuals who need help putting food on the table – donated by local suppliers. Takes place on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month from 10.30 am to 12.00 pm. Attendees need only complete a simple registration form for statistical purposes
The Centre also hosts a community fridge offering a range of fresh vegetables, fruit and other donated foodstuffs – which might otherwise go to waste. Open Monday-Friday 10am-2pm Saturday 10-12pm
Ready-made meals are also available for collection every Thursday, cooked by the Falmouth Food Co-op

Gleaning Cornwall Network

Gleaning Cornwall is a network of volunteers who harvest surplus produce from farms and growers distribute it to foodbanks, community kitchens and charities that feed those most in need.
Launched by Regenerative Food and Farming CIC, it aims to help solve the key issue of food wasted on farms in Cornwall and alleviate food poverty.

The Penryn and Falmouth Foodbank is part of a national network of foodbanks giving out donated non-perishable and in-date food to people in crisis. Boxes of food, packed by volunteers, are distributed in return for a voucher issued to those needing food by care professionals. Additional help and support is also often available.

Non-perishable, in-date food is donated via schools, churches, retailers and individuals is boxed up by volunteers for distribution to those in food need in return for a voucher. Foodbank vouchers are issued by care professionals (e.g.doctors,health visitors,social services, CAB workers) to those in crisis. Other forms of support also available.
Normally Truro Foodbank is open Monday and Thursday 10-1pm at Truro Methodist Church, Truro. Tuesdays 10-12pm at All Saints, Highertown, Truro, and Tuesdays, 10-12pm at St.Michael’s Church, Perranporth
Donations of food can be dropped off at All Saints every Tuesday 10-1pm or by using the dedicated baskets in Tescos, Sainsbury’s and the Co-op, Truro
