Climate Change is Happening Exhibition and Events at The Poly – March 5th-9th 2024

The Rotary Club in Falmouth have organised the following exhibition and events at The Poly in Falmouth

Transition Falmouth will be sharing a stall there with Fal Energy Partnership, Falmouth LETS and other local groups (FEP also hold their AGM there at 12:30 on Friday 8th March)

Exhibition open:

Tuesday 5th March to Saturday 9th March, 10am – 4pm

Climate Change Is Happening: What we can do to reduce the rate of change?

This exhibition is a voyage of discovery. What is climate change? How will it affect Cornwall and ourselves? How will it test of our own understanding of the need to reduce our carbon emissions, and what are prepared to do to make a difference?

The Spring Gallery will be open from March 5th to the 9th.

As well as stalls by all the exhibitors (details in the brochure), there will be an exhibition by students of the University of Exeter giving their views and showing what can be done, and wall displays giving the views of Primary School pupils, interactive boards where people can record their views, what Rotary is doing – which will include handing out the brochures and telling people about the Theatre presentations – and one from Carbon Savvy outlining how you can become more ‘Carbon Savvy and save money.

    Hi everyone,

    As many of you will be aware, this week there is a Climate Awareness event at the Poly organised by the Rotary Club. This will include talks and stands by environmental community groups this Friday and Saturday, including Transition Falmouth.

    The event will include a Climate Fresk from 1-4pm on Saturday. This is an interactive and engaging card game for learning about climate change.

    Anyone can drop in to see the exhibition, stands and the talks, and there are up to 20 places available at the Climate Fresk that you can book here:

    This is an opportunity to learn for yourself, but you can also help us decide where to facilitate next. After attending the Fresk, you can attend a Fresk facilitator training, meaning you can deliver this workshop yourself to many more people!
