The good people at 38 Degrees have recently sent an email out in the light of Scottish Power and npower being named and shamed as “the UK’s worst companies for customer service” [1]. Relevant to us, the South West’s big supplier, EDF [2], came third from bottom after the two main offenders.
To further quote the email, “38 Degrees members are teaming up up with energy switching specialists, The Big Deal, to do just this: a simple but powerful mass switch to better, cleaner – and cheaper – energy.”

Cool beans. I’ve made a note of the two caveats on the Facebook page.
Thanks, Steve. I re-tweeted 38degrees re this on the TF twitter account on 5th September and signed up.
It is worth pointing out that the deal
a) closes on 28th September, and
b) is open to the first 10,000 signing up.
