Surviving and Thriving Exhibition and ‘DropIns’

Thriving in 2012: A programme of events and exhibitions to assist a healthy, wealthy and wise 2012 with information and inspiration about issues on poverty, wealth and fairness.
Community Alive Falmouth organisations are promoting the message that though we are in ‘difficult times’ we can, together, offer information, inspiration and support to stretch the pounds in our pockets and increase community capital.

The six weeks from Poverty and Homeless Action Week, 28th Jan to Fairtrade Fortnight starting Feb 27th.

From end Jan to first week March there will be exhibitions and ‘dropins’ in the foyer of Falmouth Library.

Each week has a specific theme with information about what is happening locally and globally and solutions already here.

The themes are: Fuel, Food, Finances, Friendship and Fairness.

‘DropIn Fridays’: Between 2:00pm and 6:00pm on each Friday there will be volunteers and themed ‘experts’ available to assist queries.

As well as ‘meet the experts’ and written information, there will be debt advice, energy advice, energy use questionnaire, video projection of positive projects, save energy cooking booklet, Seed swaps, and access to www.falmouthalive.org.uk etc

Jane MacLennan invites you to “Please come and visit us either with questions or ideas on how to help the community thrive and assist cash strapped residents”.
