Cornwall Food Action is a hub of Devon and Cornwall Food Association which is a voluntary organisation working to address food poverty, reduce food waste and cut carbon emissions, by collecting surplus edible food from food producers for distribution to local groups in touch with those in need e.g. foodbanks, luncheon clubs and other local organisations providing help and support . CFA is currently working towards achieving charitable status.
Surplus edible food can be the result of, for example, over production, cancelled orders (for various reasons) or trial production runs much of which currently goes to landfill.
Volunteers, suppliers and friends are all needed to help the DCFA in its work. Contact them by email for more information
